The table itself is long enough to comfortably sit eight, with the ability to extend not once, but twice. The chairs easily stack when done, making storage easy. Budget Teak Patio Dining Set

Teak is a hardy outdoor material, with unparalleled beauty and many great features. It is a natural wood that secretes its own oils, and it handles the outdoors very well. It will start out a lovely honey gold color, and will slowly fade to a silver patina, and eventually toward black.
This march of color can be stopped by sealing your teak at some point, depending on the color you are looking for, and the amount of work you want to put in.
Teak does require more maintenance than other outdoor furniture materials like HDPE Wicker, Poly Resin, or metal. It is generally wise to keep your outdoor teak furniture covered when not in use.
One of the great advantages of teak is that it often "fits" stylistically indoors as well as outdoors (certainly more than HDPE Wicker or Poly-Resin), so you can consider taking your outdoor teak furniture inside during the nasty months!

Wholesale Teak makes great furniture at great prices, and this set is no exception. With a creative butterfly leaf design, this table is particularly expandable, allowing for intimate gatherings when there are only a few people with you, and expanding to large dimensions for those big gatherings! The hidden leaf system means that there's no need to store the leaf in a closet or anything; it's right there in the table itself.
One minor concern about this design is that if you leave the table out in the sun, and let it weather, the leaf will likely weather at a different rate than the rest of the table, so you may want to teak seal the table at the start and stick with that color palette. Cover the set when not in use.
Functionality
While the table expands to a large size, you may need to purchase extra chairs or supplement with your own if you wanted to get full use of the large table. The 6 chairs it comes with probably aren't enough to make full use of a 94 inch fully extended table!
If you feel you will be frequently using the table in its large format, you may want to pick up the 9 piece version of this set, so that you'll have enough chairs to accommodate the size of the table. One of the nice advantages to this set is that the chairs stack for storage! Build Quality
This is a pretty middle of the road option as outdoor teak dining sets go. The design is clean and simple, with a few more curves than we would like in the chairs, but is mostly thoughtfully made. In terms of quality, a few buyers have noted problems with the dowels sticking out about a quarter of an inch, requiring some extra work to sand them down in order to perfect it.
Assembly and Care
One should find assembly easy: it comes pre-shipped on a pallet with chairs fully assembled, the only thing needing to be done is to attach the legs to the table.
As this set doesn't come with a teak specific sealer, it may be best to buy your own teak sealer in order to care for it best; otherwise, warm soap and water should do the trick to keeping it clean.
The Bottom Line
One should be pretty happy if they purchase this teak set, as its high quality, easy to assemble, and almost ready to go from the second it lands on your doorstep. Depending on how you view it, it can be minorly annoying that the cushions are a separate purchase, or positive that they allow you to purchase it without them first and decide what color and design you want.

The Pebble Lane 9 Piece set is a great choice for those looking for a beautiful, large teak dining set at a great price. With simple lines, excellent flexibility, and elegant style, the Pebble Lane set is a wonderful dining table and chair set.
Aesthetics
Pebble Lane has kept the design simple on this table and chairs, with slight nods to Mission style, but no major accents or significant flourishes. This set would fit into most any decor style, from modern to Mediterranean to traditional.
Seating
The main issue with this set is despite providing 8 chairs, one can be hard pressed when trying to comfortably sit 8 people at the table. Often, one person will be sitting with the table's chairs between their legs, creating an uncomfortable arrangement. The chairs do not come with cushions, so one should think about purchasing those separately if needed.
Overall, the set does look great – the only downside being that the bolts may be a bit too prominent, making themselves known and otherwise detracting from the beautiful look of the teak. It should be very easy to assemble, which is definitely needed as this is a 9 piece set.

Despite the higher cost, there are a few benefits: it comes with cushions, has slightly nicer construction, and there's plenty of space for all, where this table can get a little crowded.
With that being said, if you are still looking for a 9 piece set of quality outdoor furniture but for a bargain price, this should get the job done.

As the second set of the 9-piece teak furniture sets we are looking at, this set provided by Bayview will be primarily compared to that from Pebble Lane.
Functionality
The Extension Leaf design is clever, and three sizes are available by pulling the table apart in increments. The table can be 63″ long, 73″ long, or 84″ long, depending on your needs.
The leaves are recessed in the bottom of the table, and if you leave the table out in the sun, in the closed position, you may find that the wood weathers differently in the leaves than in the table, so you may want to cover the table when not in use.
This table has a 2″ hole in the center for a patio umbrella, with supports both at the top of the table, and 2.5″ from the bottom of the table. Many will find that they don't need a patio umbrella base with this unit, though if you're concerned, be sure to get a low profile base.
Should you not want a patio umbrella or want a cantilever umbrella instead, Bayview Patio includes a plug for the 2″ hole.
Assembly
With 9 separate pieces being shipped, almost 500 pounds total, the initial concern must be: how long is it going to take to put this together?
The good news is it's relatively easy to put together, no matter what. All parts are included, and there are ample extras like bolts if needed (Marine grade, so it should be able to handle seaside environments). The bad news is that your workload may vary: from various customer feedback, it seems some deliveries have the chairs already assembled while others require assembly.
It seems to be the case more often than not that the chairs are already assembled, so that's definitely a plus. Overall though should be easy to put together which is good to know given the size of the set. Bayview will typically work with customers to send them either the assembled or unassembled set, depending on the customer's needs.
Aesthetics
Aesthetically speaking, like all teak, this set looks excellent – but what makes it stand out is the way the pieces fit together seamlessly. For an extra touch, a sealant is available with the order as well which should help further protect this teak and give it even more longevity. Functionally, the two main problems we've encountered when looking at other sets is whether all the chairs will fit under the table and whether or not the table can actually accompany as many as it suggests. With this set, which boasts room for 8, there's ample room for everyone at the table and then some – which is a stark difference between the other 9 piece set, where you would probably be better off sitting less rather than more.
Materials and Build Quality
The wood is Grade A Indonesian Teak wood, sustainably harvested. Its FSC certification is from the Forward Stewardship Council. This is the best indicator in the US that wood was harvested sustainably. It is of an even higher tier than the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). With rigorous standards, it goes to show how much care was placed in the production of this set.
Most of the joints on the table and chairs are mortise and tenon, and there is very little metal hardware on this set. Should you live near salt water, where rust is a concern, all of the metal hardware on this set is Marine Grade stainless steel.
The Bottom Line
Overall, this is a high quality set of teak furniture to buy, through and through. Starting with excellent customer service to having a high standard for delivery, the manufacturer ensures you get exactly what you ordered. The interaction between the chairs and the table is fitting, and there is plenty of room to make sure every guest is able to be accommodated.
It may be a little more expensive than the other sets, but all other factors aside, the overall weight and strength of this set seems to offset any potential downside to that.

Today we reviewed one 7 piece teak patio set, two 9 piece sets, and one 3 piece set. The 3 piece set from Ala Teak has made its definitive mark as the best budget option; while it's the smallest of all the sets, it boasts the lowest price and is suitable as a smaller option.
When it comes to the larger sets, the Bayview Patio 9 Piece set is our favorite, due to the quality of construction, thoughtful design, and attention to detail. Cushions are included, so no need to shop for compatible sizes and all of the materials are top notch.
While this set isn't cheap, it's not terribly expensive, either, and it is an excellent choice!
